Better Oil Furnaces

80% AFUE Single Stage, Variable Speed

Total Home Comfort and What it Means to You

Total home comfort depends on many variables. Variables such as your homes square footage, number of floors, the suns exposure on your home, location, construction materials, and your own personal comfort choices. Frigidaire has developed a full line of furnaces and accessories to allow you to maintain Total Home Comfort year round.

The variable speed oil furnace has many of the same features and benefits of a standard 80% oil furnace, but it has the benefit of Variable Speed technology. This furnace features GE ECM Variable speed motor for better indoor air quality and comfort.

What are the benefits of single stage; variable speed furnaces?

  • A single stage furnace is sized to heat your home on the coldest days of the year. It delivers 100% of its heating capacity at all times of operation.

  • The furnace automatically maintains its programmed level of air flow regardless of dynamic changes in static pressure.

  • Variable speed technology under normal operating conditions ensures constant comfort for the homeowner because the motor will automatically maintain its programmed level of airflow.

  • Constant airflow capability.

  • The ECM system can compensate for poor duct design. Systems with inadequate duct volume can now deliver factory calibrated airflow.

  • Better indoor-air quality can be achieved quietly and inexpensively with the ECM motor because it can be set to run continuously at reduced airflow levels, between heating or cooling cycles.

  • Better air filtration without sacrificing efficiency. In fact, if you run your thermostat in continuous fan mode, your electricity consumption will be reduced from 500 watts to 65 watts over a furnace that has a standard blower.
