What does having a 14 SEER iHybrid™ System
mean?
The iHybrid system includes both a heat pump that is the primary heating and cooling system; and a gas furnace that provides heating when the temperature drops below the heat pumps set point. The two systems share the heating load and each operate when it is the most cost effective.
Your iHybrid package system’s efficiency is measured by a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER). The higher the SEER rating the more efficiently your unit operates. Increased efficiency translates into savings in utility costs.

What are the benefits of variable speed
cooling?

Variable speed technology under normal operating conditions
ensures constant comfort for the homeowner.

The motor
will automatically maintain its programmed level of airflow
even if there are dynamic changes in static pressure. This
constant airflow capability provides a number of important
benefits.

The ECM system can compensate for poor duct design.

Systems with inadequate duct volume can now deliver factory
calibrated airflow.

The ECM system can automatically compensate
for the increased static pressure as the system air filter
gets “dirty”.

Better indoor-air quality can
be achieved quietly and inexpensively with the ECM motor
because it can be set to run continuously at reduced airflow
levels, between heating or cooling cycles.
This allows for better air filtration without excessive drafts, and without
sacrificing efficiency. In fact, if you run your thermostat
in continuous fan mode, your electricity consumption will
be reduced from 500 watts to 65 watts over a package system
that has a standard blower.
